Up For Delivery
A downloadable game for Windows
“Solve puzzles to deliver packages to denizens of a mystifying and gravity-defying world."
Platform: Windows Genre: Puzzle Status: Prototype
The game follows the story of an individual who possesses the power to traverse unstable lands, that most people cannot. They are only known as ‘The Courier’ to denizens. Their biology is unknown, but what is clear is that they have arrived at the island for one purpose, and it is to feed its denizens post-haste, then return to their vessel and continue their mission. With them, they have a magically built cart that has the power to traverse these mysterious lands in the same gravity-defying way as The Courier, climbing up walls and ceilings to get to their goal. Their goal on this island; deliver the island’s primary food source to its denizens, and that item of food seems to be… cabbages…
Within the boundaries of this mystifying world, there are numerous gravity-defying environments, all confined into their own respective geographies and limits. Whilst the world may look admirable, it is not one that just any person can traverse. Without the right tools or powers, one would spiral beyond the weak gravity of any of the floating islands…
Every island does have its own denizens, but their ability to leave the confines of their abodes are limited. The houses built on these islands were made to withstand the nature of the world and allow resident to remain safely inside. However, this still poses one major issue; they cannot acquire sustenance by themselves. This is where travelling couriers like the player come in. They have the tools and powers to traverse the world, remain grounded, and deliver necessary resources.
